Glass Jars of a wide variety of full leaf tea were designed initially for Cost Plus World Market and later distributed to other stores and online sources.
A journey where crafting a brand from scratch is a special experience, especially when you have the opportunity to blend creativity and innovation. It's fascinating to see how each detail, from the logo to the overall aesthetic, can come together to create something that truly resonates with both the brand's essence and its target audience. And bringing those designs to life with lifelike 3D renderings adds another layer of depth and dimension to the whole process. It was incredibly rewarding to see everything come together in such a tangible way!

Planeta Travel App
Currently working at Planeta, I am part of a two UX designer team tasked with designing the mobile app.
What is the Planeta App?
At its core, Planeta is a peer-to-peer travel platform built on the principle of shared respect and personalized experience. The app enables users to harness the power of local knowledge by building a safe community of like-minded travelers and local guides who share a passion for integrity and sustainability.
Data Gathering and Initial Research
I started the data gathering process by looking at existing research findings, conducting user testing, and performing competitive analysis to identify opportunities to optimize the flow and make the experience as simple as possible.
Preliminary Findings:
Concerns:
From the user research, it became clear that our potential users' main concern was safety during their interaction with their expert guides and wanted to make sure verification of identity was in place.
Motivations:
Users are generally interested in expanding their horizons and experiencing new cultures.
Quotes from potential users:
Travelers:
"I want someone safe to show me around and do things with.
"I want someone to simplify my travel planning process."
Guides:
"I want to increase the number of travelers coming here.”
Flow:
With the competitive analysis we performed earlier in the process, I was able to make a representation of basic flows from many of our competitors to find out how we compared. My task was to look into different ways to optimize profile page flows and categorize dining experiences.
Sketches and wireframes
After completing the landscape analysis I started sketching and wireframing screens and quickly iterating after discussions with stakeholders. It was a quick way to establish consensus among all involved and get feedback on our first ideas.
Design Systems
I established patterns and initiated the creation of Design Systems by defining the Color Palette, Font Hierarchy, Grids, Spacing, etc. I also created Figma components and functionality.
Taxonomy
With the goal of establishing and organizing the personalized interests of users and guides, the team built a taxonomy that would organize them into categories and subcategories. I personally worked on the dining portion of this taxonomy by grouping the different dining experiences by ethnicity, location, diet, and style. This effort vastly improved the organization and findability of interests.
Site Map
I designed the architecture for the explorer and guide portions of the app. This overview helped the team trim unnecessary steps, prioritize vital interactions and keep the app structure clean and simple.
User Flows
Once the architecture was in place, it was much simpler to design the user flows. I was tasked with working on the guides' experience: determining entry points, defining the 'onboarding' and 'profile creation' flows.
Interactive Prototype:
After fleshing out layouts with colors and visual design, I created interactive Figma prototypes. These prototypes were crucial in our discussion of component functionality with stakeholders.
Intelematics North America
This was a freelance project for Intelematics North America. I was tasked with working with their team creating the design for an application to help drivers keep track of their car maintenance. The application would connect drivers and cars to their preferred car repair shops to notify them of any scheduled maintenance or any other issues the technology was able to detect.
The team and I worked on several ideas and represented them in various sketches.
After getting feedback from the client, making the necessary adjustments and getting all stakeholders consensus, we moved to the next phase.
In the wireframe stage, we were able to work more in depth on functionality and work out the details of navigation and flow. This is the phase we iterated the most making sure all the user scenarios were taken into consideration.
Finally, we developed the visual design. At first we suggested a clean design with a lot of white and pastel colors but the client wanted a more "masculine" look to the application and asked us to create layouts with a dark background.
The final design is shown here. The client was very happy and the application is in development stage.
Thrilled to have collaborated with Dole Packaged Foods to create captivating digital assets for their social media and advertising campaigns during the Coachella Music Festival, which I also got to perform at! From creating vibrant product images in Coachella style settings, to logos used in the event and swag, every design was aimed at highlighting the freshness and flavor of Dole's delicious offerings. It's been an absolute pleasure to help bring their brand to life in the digital world, and I can't wait to continue our journey together, one delicious post at a time!
I was tasked with a complete redesign of Zhena's e-commerce website. After researching the target consumer and performing a comprehensive competitive analysis, I created several different design solutions to present to the client:
In the first phase of the project, my main focus was on generating sketches to quickly get stakeholders feedback and gather consensus. It was important to make sure the business requirements were being met.
The second phase of the project was comprised of primarily creating wireframes, gathering more stakeholder's feedback and iterating the design.
For the last phase of the project I created several visual design options with different color palletes and photo treatments.
